Moderate Hurriyat Conference today announced postponement of the scheduled screening of its documentary titled "Children in Conflict Torn Kashmir" here tomorrow, citing "objection" raised by administration.
The human rights division of Hurriyat was scheduled to screen the documentary at 1.30 pm tomorrow in a local hotel but decided to postpone the screening due to the "objection raised by the administration", the separatist amalgam said in a statement.
It said Hurriyat would come out with its "detailed response" to the decision of the administration shortly.
"We regret the inconvenience caused to the invitees to the function," the Hurriyat said.
The separatist organisation had intended to screen the documentary in a bid to portray the sufferings and pain of Kashmir's conflict-ridden children irrespective of their religious affiliations.
The Hurriyat had said it was mulling to send copies of the 19-minute documentary to all leading human rights bodies of the world and also to the leading film-makers across the globe.
