Husband and wife arrested for beating daughter to death

Amarsing Tersing and his wife Sharda were arrested for allegedly beating their two-and-half years old daughter Lakshmi to death in Shinor town of Vadodara district, a police official said here today.
Police sub-inspector P N Singh told PTI that a case under Section of the 302 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against them.
After killing their daughter yesterday, Sharda, who is her step mother ran away, the police official said.
Tersingh, lodged a police complaint yesterday stating that his wife killed his daughter and away from home, the police official said.
Lakshmi's body was handed over to Tersingh for cremation today morning after a postmortem, the police official said.

After Sharda was traced today evening, she revealed that she and her husband Tersingh had killed Lakshmi because she could not raise her hands or walk on her own, the police official said.
