The accused husband, identified as Ashok (61) was arrested from the spot after a neighbour made a PCR call about the argument between the couple.
The incident took place yesterday afternoon at around 2 pm when Ashok was told by his wife Rani that she has lent Rs 10 to someone. An argument broke out between them over the issue which soon turned ugly as Rani slapped Ashok, police said.
A neighbour made a PCR call after Ashok's brother Rajesh told him that there was a fracas at his house.
"When a police team reached the spot, Ashok was found standing near Rani's body which lying in a pool of blood. He was apprehended from the spot and admitted to have stabbed the victim in a fit of rage," he added.
Police has registered a case of murder at Nangloi Police station and the accused has been arrested. The weapon of offence was recovered from the spot, he said.
