Speaking at an International Conference on 'Changing Security Dynamic in the Indo-Pacific' here organised by the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) Kondapalli said many internationally reputed defence companies are looking at India for producing military equipment.
"Hyderabad has many natural advantages such as defence research labs and robust educational network," he said.
Rajat Kathuria, Director and Chief Executive, ICRIER, pointed out that Asia is experiencing twin dynamic of growing economies and also increased tension because of the territorial conflicts.
Referring to other international disputes such as South China Sea Dispute, Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) Chairman K Padmanabhaiah stressed the necessity of adhering to international law.

Padamanabaiah also reflected on territorial and ethnic conflicts such as Kashmir and suggested a four pronged strategy to address the Kashmir crisis which included -- tackling unemployment and corruption, promoting educational facilities and good governance.
The Conference witnessed substantive discussions on maritime security issues in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean region.
