Roja had been suspended from attending the proceedings of the Assembly for one year during the winter session of the Assembly in December last year for her alleged "derogatory" remarks against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
A division bench, headed by acting Chief Justice Dilip Bhosale, allowed the appeal filed by Andhra Pradesh government against the single judge's order.
The single judge had concluded that the Speaker has no power to suspend any member of House beyond the remainder of session under the Assembly business rule no. 340.
The bench today upheld the contention of government.
