The matter came up at the special task force's meeting convened here by Telangana chief secretary Rajiv Sharma to review the progress of HMR project today, an official release said.
HMR managing director N V S Reddy pointed out that 283 critical properties have been identified for smooth flow of traffic during the construction of HMR, and targets had been given to the land acquisition and town-planning cells of GHMC for completing the acquisition by the year-end.
L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Ltd is developing the 72-km elevated metro rail here with three corridors and 66 stations.
The chief secretary then instructed the Railway officials to hand over land between Lekha Bhavan and Oliphenta Bridge for road widening and construction of a Metro station, and another portion of land for approach road for Alugaddabavi RUB.
Police were asked to hand over properties at Chikkadpally Traffic Police Station, Gopalpuram Police Station and Quarters at the earliest. It was decided that Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy would issue necessary instructions.
