Rao had yesterday directed GHMC to firmly deal with illegal constructions and demolish such structures.
Appealing to citizens not to abuse the law by taking up constructions unauthorisedly, GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said the High Court has given clear direction to demolish all unauthorised constructions.
As per the orders of the High Court, GHMC has identified 21 buildings (on the Gurukul Trust land) which are unauthorised and started demolishing them today at early hours, he said, adding initially 21 buildings were identified with on-going constructions activity and two buildings were razed to ground while 14 buildings were demolished today.
The Commissioner appealed the residents of Gurukul Trust not to take up any constructions without permissions.
The GHMC Commissioner further informed that he has written letters to the Collector of Ranga Reddy district and Hyderabad Commissioner of Police to depute their teams to work along with the three teams of GHMC to monitor the construction activities in Gurukul Trust land in the forthcoming days, according to an official release.
