Hyundai Motor India Ltd today said it has entered into a partnership with Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) to train unskilled manpower above 18 years of age, who will be absorbed in its system after completion.
Under the agreement, the training programme will be conducted at six HMIL dealerships associated with the company's technical training academy, the company said in a statement.
It will be for candidates above 18 years of age and having qualification of 8th grade and above. Trainees will be given an option to choose from different automotive training courses designed by ASDC, it added.
After successful completion of the programme, students would be offered an opportunity to work in Hyundai workshops for aftersales jobs such as service support technician and washer, the company said.
Commenting on the partnership ASDC, HMIL Director- Sales & Marketing S J Ha said, "This MoU will further boost our commitment towards skilling and employing the youth of India".
He further said the company is already working with ITIs and polytechnic institutes in different states and the company absorbs close to 99 per cent of the students in different entities in the Hyundai India ecosystem.
ASDC President Nikunj Sanghi said the association with HMIL aims at strengthening the India government's vision of Skill India in employment generation.
