I am a private person: Sharman Joshi
Press Trust of India New Delhi '3 Idiots' star Sharman Joshi likes to maintain a low profile when he is not doing any film and the actor says he does not feel comfortable discussing about his life unnecessarily.
"I am a private person. I understand people want to know more about me at some point. I feel the best and the most appropriate time for that is when I am out promoting a film, or at some cause. That is the time I like to talk. But apart from that I do not see the need for it." Sharman told PTI in an interview.
Sharman will be seen next in comedy "War Chod Na Yaar" after his last year's laugh riot "Ferrari Ki Sawaari".
"'War Chod Na Yaar' is basically about the Indian and Pakistani soldiers at the border during the peace time, their casual relationship. It is a war comedy. It is a first of it's kind in terms of the genre. In Indian cinema we have never done this kind of comedy, so that is a USP," he said.
Directed by debut filmmaker Faraz Haider, who has assisted Dibakar Banerjee on "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!", the film will hit theatres on October 11.
Sharman is playing the role of an Indian Army Captain and says he has not done any research for the character.
"I did not do any research for the role. I have rarely done research for any of my movies. It was always the skill, the director and my instinct. Probably my last research was for 'Golmal', when I played a deaf character. But that research I had done during my play time because that was a space to understand," he said.
The 34-year-old actor was in the Capital to be a part of World Hunger Relief programme, organised by Yum and Smile Foundation.
