The actor, 29, called upon his fans to watch 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!' so that the other stories of Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay's can get the big screen treatment.
"In my eight years of career I think I have not worked on something like this. We all have worked very hard and put our best. I want everybody to watch this film and appreciate our efforts so that we can make the whole 32 novels of Byomkesh," he said.
Sushant, a former TV star, got his first break in Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor's buddy drama 'Kai Po Che!' and within a short period of time he made a mark in the industry with his outings in 'Shuddh Desi Romance' and 'PK'.
"I don't have any relation in the industry and neither I had money to produce a film for me. What I had was the passion for arts."

The actor said he is very selfish when it comes to selecting movies.
"When I choose a film and start working on it, I never think whether the film will be a hit or not. I am a selfish actor. I only consider the role and the filmmaker and how much I can learn from the film. Only on the last day of the shoot I start thinking about audience's reaction," Sushant told reporters here.
