With almost 200 films under his belt, veteran character actor Tiku Talsania says he has more to offer and is trying to fit into the ever-changing film industry.
The 60-year-old actor, known for his roles in films like 'Ishq', 'Coolie No 1', 'Andaz Apna Apna', 'Dil Hain Ki Manta Nahin', 'Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke' 'Devdas', 'Special 26' and TV shows 'Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi' and 'Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo', said good roles are hard to come by.
"I have been doing films but not so much. If I don't get something good then what do I do? The stories have changed, the genre has changed. The hero is everything now, he is doing comedy, action. There is no space for comedians. But people like me are still finding a way to fit in," Talsania told PTI during a visit here.
In the meantime, the actor does not mind waiting for that right role to come his way and is keeping himself busy with his theatre commitments.
"I am never tired of acting. I want to die in my shoes. I always want to keep working. I do theatre in Mumbai. I can't give up on my acting," he added.
Talsania said the work culture has changed a lot now and is very different as earlier the character actors were neither required to give auditions nor were paid well or given bound scripts.

"The working atmosphere has changed. Previously, we never got the script and we would never dare to ask for one. When there was no money we used to get a trophy. There was no fixed rate. Now the union is also very strong," said the actor, who will be next seen in 'Chal Guru Ho Ja Shuru'.
Taslania is in talks for two-three projects on TV and the actor said that if things materialise he will be seen in a serious role in a show.
"I have done a lot of TV. I have 2 or 3 projects that are in the pipeline. Nothing has been finalised yet. In one I have a serious role. I think doing something against the image is fun. In theatre I have been doing everything - from comedy to playing villain," he said.
In 'Chal Guru Ho Ja Shuru' directed by Manoj Sharma and produced by Pankaj Narayan and Apoorva Bajaj, Talsania shares screen with Hemant Pandey, Vrijesh Hirjee, Brijendra Kala, Sanjay Mishra and Chandrachur Singh among others.
The film is a funny take on god men and will hit theatres on January 30.
"In the film I am playing the role of a man, who is fed up of his wife, who is a great follower of a baba so much that his photos are everywhere in my house. I get angry and I want to teach the baba a lesson," he said.
