I am not afraid of false cases against me: HP CM Virbhadra Singh

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Thursday said he was not afraid of the 'false cases' against him framed at the "behest of senior BJP leaders" and will come out clean in all of them.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of Bawan Dwadasi fair at Sarahan in Sirmaur district, 40 kms from here, Singh said, "I am not afraid of 'false cases' framed against me on behest of the senior BJP leaders of the state and the Centre and I will fight these cases and come out clean."

Accusing former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and a senior minister at the Centre, CM said they have hatched a conspiracy to frame me in false cases and want to get political mileage out of it but it will never happen.

"Truth and people of Himachal Pradesh are with me and I will come out clean," he said, adding, "whenever BJP came to power under the Chief Ministership of Prem Kumar Dhumal, false cases were framed against him and he faced session trials twice and wasacquitted."

Lashing out at BJP MLA from Nahan, Rajiv Bindal, the CM accused him of winning the last Assembly elections using money power.

The Chief Minister also declared the Sarahan Baman Dwadasi fair as a state-level fair.

Exhorting the people to preserve the rich culture and traditions, Singh saidsuch fairs are our identity and should be celebrated in traditional manner.

He said a provision of Rs 10 crore had been made for opening a college at Sarahan.

He also inaugurated Rs 1.54 crore Tehsil office complex at Sarahan in Pachhad constituency and a Tourism reception centre and wayside amenities complex at Sarahan completed with an outlay of Rs 80 lakh.
