Down South Vikram has acted primarily in Tamil films and then in Telugu and Malayalam. His memorable performances include 'Sethu', 'Saamy', 'Anniyan', and 'Kanthaswamy' among others.
"I already have a career there. It is just that an offer came for Hindi films, I found it interesting and hence took it up. It is not that I am doing films here (Bollywood) for money or my passion towards acting. Rather I am getting paid same here," Vikram told PTI.
"I wanted to do something different here (Bollywood) and both 'Raavan' and 'David' gave me that opportunity. It is true that the reach of Hindi film industry is wider, it reaches out globally. But that is not the reason for me to do a film here," he said.
Vikram made his Bollywood debut with Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan' in 2010 and his second film released last week.
"I am not in a hurry to do Hindi films. I was waiting for an interesting and challenging roles to come my way. I am happy I got to do both the films
