As a believer in 'switch on switch off' mode or method acting, Apur Panchali actor Parambrata Chatterjee says living with the character is passe for an actor nowadays.
Having delivered an intense, power-packed performance in Chotuskone by Srijit Mukherjee,a film having references of four directors on a voyage, Parambrata told PTI , "See I have come straight from the airport to attend the premier, watched the whole film and now talking to the guests.
"It is the way things are managed these days. If you do a role the character instinctively dwells within you. You don't need to deliberately get into the skin of the role as they say," Parambrata, busy with the promotion of his new directorial flick 'Lorai', said.
Apur Panchali and Shabdo director Kaushik Ganguly described Chotuskone as a "Very technical and very precise kind of film."
Kaushik, who has delivered a hyper production honcho in the film also starring Aparna Sen and Goutam Ghosh, said "Srijit has developed a unique cinematic style and has explored many idioms and forms of cinema here."
Director Gourav Pandey, having earned kudos for Mithun Chakroborty-starrer Shukno Lanka and Hanuman dot com starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, said "Cinema is not nkhichudi served on a platter. It has to take the language, a certain language and Chotuskone has marked the progression of Srijit Mukherjee."
Produced by Reliance Entertainment and Dag Creative Media Chotuskone was premiered at Inox, South City on Thursday evening.
