Kaushik, who has delivered a hyper production honcho in the film also starring Aparna Sen and Goutam Ghosh, said "Srijit has developed a unique cinematic style and has explored many idioms and forms of cinema here."
Director Gourav Pandey, having earned kudos for Mithun Chakroborty-starrer Shukno Lanka and Hanuman dot com starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, said "Cinema is not nkhichudi served on a platter. It has to take the language, a certain language and Chotuskone has marked the progression of Srijit Mukherjee."
