Officials said, Joint Secretary level officials from various ministries were present in the "orientation" meeting which was chaired by Information and Broadcasting secretary Bimal Julka and organised by DG Press Information Bureau (PIB) Frank Noronha.
It was discussed as to how gather success stories and information about initiatives that have made a difference on the ground, they said, adding this meeting was a sequel to an earlier meeting held by Principal Secretary to Prime Minister about gathering the relevant information.
"It was a coordination meeting to gather information with regard to progress made in various schemes and initiatives taken by the government," Noronha said when contacted.
Earlier, in a communication, the ministry had sought information from ministries on the "contrast" between what was the situation before these initiatives and programmes and what has been achieved now.
