With the Narendra Modi government set to complete its first year in office on May 25, senior I&B ministry officials today discussed ways to gather success stories and information on initiatives that have made a difference on the ground with their counterparts from other ministries and departments.
Officials said, Joint Secretary level officials from various ministries were present in the "orientation" meeting which was chaired by Information and Broadcasting secretary Bimal Julka and organised by DG Press Information Bureau (PIB) Frank Noronha.
It was discussed as to how gather success stories and information about initiatives that have made a difference on the ground, they said, adding this meeting was a sequel to an earlier meeting held by Principal Secretary to Prime Minister about gathering the relevant information.
There was a focus on getting information on work that the government has done which has helped the masses especially the poor, they said.
"It was a coordination meeting to gather information with regard to progress made in various schemes and initiatives taken by the government," Noronha said when contacted.
