The Information and broadcasting Ministry has asked Sony Entertainment Television (SET) not to air the special episode of its popular crime show-Crime Patrol–which was to feature the Delhi gang-rape case.
Ministry sources told Business Standard that I&B Ministry officials have made official call to the channel and advised it not to air the episode, or else the Ministry will have to send a notice to the channel.
The Ministry has also issued advisories to all channels on the same.
SET was about to show the Delhi gang-rape case in the Crime Patrol episode tonight. The show features real crime stories.
It is understood that the channel has decided not air the episode tonight.
