Describing her character in IFFI winner Apur Panchali as never-before, critically acclaimed actor Parno Mitra says she always seeks to bring new insights and shades to every character.
"I didn't know and think the film will create history or my character will be such a hit. After seeing Maach Misti and More, Kaushikda (director Kaushik Ganguly) offered me a role and I nodded," Parno told PTI here.
"But one thing I feel so proud about. It is my film, it is our film and I hope people will like it after release," Parno said about Apur Panchali slated to be released shortly.
The bubbly, effervescent actor said "If my intention is to do every role and fall in love with character later on, is that possible! But I must say I am happy with the types of varie-gated roles I get chance to portray these days."
Terming her character as an aspiring rock singer, meeting a mercurial and lustful rock legend as mentor, in Ranjana Ami Aar Asbona as the strongest character she had portrayed so far, Parno said "In fact in my view I haven't come across any such strong female role in Indian cinema as yet."
Describing Mainak (Bhowmik) as one of the most creative directors she would love to work with, the 'Bedroom' actor said, "Mainak, Srijit (Mukherjee) are among the new age film makers. Also there is Parambrata (Chatterjee) who is also into direction. Everyone has his own set of thinkings and I want to make my own mark everywhere."
Parno, who came to Oxigen spa, said she gets her hair treated once in a week and does body spa twice in a month for looking good and staying fit."
"Today's generation is more well-prepared and visiting spa has become more frequent as stress-busters," she said.
