i'Desert God' claims the Deccan Colts Championship Stakes

Padmanabhan trained, three-year-old, 'Desert God' ably ridden by jockey Suraj Narredu claimed the Deccan Colts Championship Stakes (Grade III) (about) 1600 Metres, the main event on the 16th day of the Hyderabad Monsoon Races held here today.
The winner is owned by S Padmanabhan and Mrs Sharmila Padmanabhan rep.M/s Radiant Bloodstock Pvt Ltd and Col Swapan Bhadra.
Last year three year old'Bold Majesty',ridden by jockey Neeraj Rawal and trained by Ganapathy claimed the Deccan Bookmakers Colts championshp Stakes and finished the race with a thrilling timing of One minute 39.78 seconds (1:39.78 seconds).
'Tiger' (Jockey Deshmukh up) won the Nawab Khaja Moinuddin Khan Memorial Cup (about) 2200 metres, for Category II horses, on the supporting event of the day.
Trainer Deshmukh scored six while Jockey P S Chouhan scored quadruple.
Four first favourites obliged in a card of nine events.
