While delivering his acceptance speech, he cheekily said, "I feel sexy. It's great," as he pointed at the picture displayed on the screen.
"Today has been the most amazing day. To announce the Bond thing this morning is incredible. I've been keeping this secret for a year. It's been intense but I can't think a better way than to celebrate with all of you tonight," he added.
"Ant-Man" actor Paul Rudd has been presented with the title of GQ's Leading Man of the Year.
Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton was awarded the GQ's Sportsman of the Year.
"I've been to a lot of these evenings but this is the first time I've appreciated it as much as this evening," Hamilton said.
