Sonakshi, who shot to fame in Bollywood with debut film 'Dabangg', is making sure her father takes better care of his health after his recent surgery.
"I have been virtually put under house arrest by Sonakshi. She is keeping a strict watch over me...Not allowing me to meet guests and taking care of my diet," Sinha told PTI.
"She has switched off my mobile phones and allowing only limited access to the landline phone. But, I am not complaining as she is my darling daughter," Sinha added.
The 66-year-old was admitted to Kokilaben hospital in suburban Andheri on July 2 after he complained of breathlessness. Based on medical advice he underwent bypass surgery and was discharged from the hospital on August 12.
The actor said he lost almost 12 kgs during his month long stay in the hospital.
A Lok Sabha member from Patna Saheb in Bihar, Sinha said he is missing action in Parliament which is in session. He could not vote in Presidential as well as Vice Presidential elections as he was in hospital.

"I expect to start attending Parliament from next week. I would keep my engagements low key," he said.
Sinha made his Bollywood debut in 1969 with 'Sajan' and has acted in over 200 Hindi films, besides being a part of some Bengali and Punjabi movies.
Known for his powerful dialogues, Sinha acted in hits like 'Kalicharan', 'Vishwanath', 'Blackmail', 'Dostana', 'Shaan' and 'Kala Patthar'.
