However, the Gurgaon MP has admitted that at the rally at Rewari in Haryana last month he had announced that he would not be contesting the next Lok Sabha poll on a Congress ticket.
63-year-old Singh, a bete noire of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, told Congress General Secretary incharge of party affairs in Haryana Shakeel Ahmed that in the rally he did raise the "biased attitude" towards his constituency in development work
Ahmed told PTI that he received the reply from the sulking MP telling him that he has not quit the party.
Ahmed declined to reveal the contents of the communication which is reportedly highly critical of Hooda .

In the communication, Singh is learnt to have alleged that he was a victim of the CM's personal vendetta and that Hooda did not want any leader to be at on an equal footing.
Ahmed said the matters raised in the letter will be discussed within the party.
