"I do not watch Hindi films and neither do I see English movies nor the theatre," Annu, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, told PTI during a recent visit.

The actor said that there was no particular reason for not watching movies, adding that he simply felt bored by them.

Annu made a name for himself by appearing in a number of films, including 'Mr India' and received accolades for his roles in Amitabh Bachchan's 'Main Azaad Hoon' and Pankaj Parashar's 'Chaalbaaz'.

The actor, who was last seen in 'Vicky Donor' feels that Hindi films have undergone a big change with the passage of time.

"The days of actors like Prithviraj Kapoor and Balraj Sahni, who were dedicated to social causes, are now over," he said.

Annu, who once hosted the very popular singing show 'Antakshari' on television, said he was proud of the fact that he got an opportunity to host such a show.
