I-T investigative team to work under EC

With the Election Commission announcing dates for the Lok Sabha polls, the investigative department of the Income Tax will soon start working under the election regulator, an official said here today.
"We have a full fledged team of investigators and it will now work under instructions of the Election Commission," chief commissioner of Income Tax, Kolkata-I, G N Pande said while speaking during an interactive session with MCC Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The I-T investigative department helps the EC in tracking the expenses and money spent by candidates during the elections.
