I-T raids unearth tax evasion of crores

The income tax department raided 10 hosiery establishments here and found that they were evading taxes worth crores of rupees, a senior official said today.
The I-T department yesterday conducted raids at the hosiery establishments in the Muzaffarnagar district.
Their account papers were seized after the department found that they were evading tax worth crores of rupees, according to Income Tax Commissioner S Suman.
