Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister- designate Manish Sisodia today said the overwhelming mandate to AAP came as a "shock" to him and felt the major challenge for the government would be to keep "arrogance" at bay.
"The mandate puts a lot of responsibility. The biggest challenge is to ensure that the mandate does not end up bringing arrogance in us. If we ensure that we know we will deliver," he told PTI.
The senior AAP leader said the party's victory initially came as a shock to him as he was expecting around 45-50 seats saying that it "was still sinking in".
He credited party chief Arvind Kejriwal's "credibility" and the party's vision for the stunning results.
Sisodia is known to be a key architect of AAP's massive mass contact programme across the city which was launched after the party drew blank in the Lok Sabha polls.
The AAP won 67 out of the 70 seats in the assembly polls, making it one of the biggest victories in India's recent political history.
