"I will let you know when I resign," Narayanan told reporters when asked whether he was stepping down.
He was attending a programme of Indian Museum, where he was the chairman of the board of trustees.
Asked whether this was his last visit to the museum he quipped, "Why last? I will visit the museum many more times."
Narayanan was yesterday questioned by the CBI as a "witness" in connection with its probe into allegations of bribery in the Rs 3600-crore VVIP chopper deal with AgustaWestland.
