The minister, known for his cheeky remarks, said in his home town-- Kurnool that the officials, who do not have commitment, should be shot dead. These unprecedented remarks came while criticising the poor performance in implementing government schemes.

"Loose talk of mob justice by the honourable minister lowers the dignity of his own office, demoralises the bureaucracy and brings down the image of the Government," the Association said in a statement.

"The performance or non performance of any officer is to be dealt in accordance with the law and rules and procedures of the Government," it added.

The minor Irrigation minister also said that the government has to face the wrath of people because of officers' inaction.

The Association felt that the minister's remarks have the potential to incite the public and create law and order problem.
