Kamble, who heads the Nagpur Improvement Trust, was in Aurangabad today not for any official work but to donate blood, a tradition he started when he was the municipal commissioner of Aurangabad.
"I paid my respects to the great son of India Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on his death anniversary," the IAS officer said.
"Around 1,000 people donated blood today. I started this initiative last year when I was municipal commissioner. Over 2,000 people had donated blood then," Kamble said.
