IAS officer, two others suspended after arrest in bribery case

Rajasthan government tonight suspended senior IAS officer Ashok Singhvi and two other officers of the Mines Department who were arrested and remanded to police custody in a case of alleged bribery involving Rs 2.55 crore.
The suspension orders were issued by the Department of Personnel of the state government.
The order states that Singhvi was suspended as "prima facie" he was found allegedly involved in a case of corruption by Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Additional Director, Mines (HQ), Udaipur Pankaj Gehlot and Senior Mining Engineer of Bhilwara P R Ameta were also suspended on the same ground.
Meanwhile, Principal Secretary, Cooperative Department Deepak Upreti was given the additional charge of the Mines Department.
A separate order was issued to this effect by the DOP.
