The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board (IBBI) has sought public comments on the draft norms for information utilities.
IBBI, set up under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, seeks to consolidate and amend laws relating to reorganisation as well as insolvency resolution of corporate persons, partnership firms and individuals in a time-bound manner.
As many as four working groups were set up by the Corporate Affairs Ministry to facilitate implementation of the Code.
One of the group's mandate was to submit recommendations on rules, regulations and other related matters for information utilities and now comments have been sought on this report.
Information utilities would be centralised repository of financial and credit information of borrowers as well as give access to financial data provided by creditors.
An official release today said the governing board of IBBI has decided to invite public comments on the report and the last date for the same is February 7.
