IBM Cloud to power Narayana Health email system

Technology giant IBM today said it has partnered with Narayana Health for implementing an efficient email and collaboration tool to keep its employees, associated professionals and other stakeholders connected.
This partnership will help Narayana Health administrators and employees to more easily collaborate while keeping IT expenditure for the solution at a minimum, IBM said in a statement.
It also lowers operational costs by at least 15 percent, while improving reliability and manageability, it added.
From a 225-bed hospital in 2001, Narayana Health group of hospitals has grown to become a 6,900 beds healthcare conglomerate with 26 hospitals across 16 cities in India and a hospital in the Caribbean at Grand Cayman, North America.

Under its software donations programme, Nasscom Foundation will offer NGOs the latest information security and backup solutions like online transactions/donations, employee and donor privacy, enabling them to keep their data secure.
Since its inception, the program has successfully donated software worth Rs 34 crore to NGOs across India.

HMSI organises safety rally in Lucknow
* As a part of social responsibility Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd today organised 'Honda safety rally' in Lucknow to promote road safety awareness among city people.
The rally was flagged off by Deputy Superintendent of Police (traffic) Subhash Atri and social worker Naved Ahmed.
The rally saw 30 riders travelling across the city on Honda's newly launched dream series motorcycle CD110 Dream.
