A three-member Nagaland's Interim Body Members (IBM) while briefing Chief Minister T R Zeliang on important issues today urged him to protect the rights of the Nagas referring to article 371(A) of the Constitution and also to recognise and uphold the customary laws of Nagas.
The three of them made the appeal while paying a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister at his Official Residence in Kohima today, stated a CMO release.
The team members include IBM convener T Kikon and members Tokeho Sema and Lothi Rengma.
The oldest member among the team Lothi Rengma invoked God's blessing and said that the main purpose of the visit was to pray and bless the new Chief Minister.
Seven out of the 42 Interim Body Members had met in Kohima last year but only three went to meet the Chief Minister today.
