"We have decided to undertake a study on food retailing in the wake of 100 per cent FDI permitted by the Centre. The study will keep a focus on West Bengal where agricultural strength is high for harness," ICC president Aditya Agarwal said here today .
Adding further, ICC vice-president Shashwat Goenka said the report will be recommendary in nature bring forward the issues, potential and recommendations for both state and Central government.
The chamber also wishes to come out with a report engaging a multinational consultany firms on Non-Performing Assets issue.
"NPA is an national issue and so we aslo want a report on this," Agarwal said.
Asked for views on wilful defaulter debate going around, Agarwal said, "If money is taken then it should be repayed. But at the same lenders should see 'the bird should not be killed.'"
