The 47-year-old music producer-actor, whose real name is O'Shea Jackson, was honoured with the star just three days after the release of the 25th-anniversary edition of his politically charged album "Death Certificate", reported Los Angeles Times.
The star was unveiled outside the Musicians Institute on Hollywood Boulevard.
In his acceptance speech, the rapper thanked everyone, including his mother and his longtime lawyer, Lee Young.
"You don't get here by yourself. Today is not really about Ice Cube. It's about all the people that helped me get here," he said.
