"The objective of the two-day seminar is to provide insights into the various provisions of GST law, rules, regulations and procedures required to face the fast approaching GST implementation date," ICFAI Group Director, Branding, Sudhakar Rao and ICFAI Law School Dean prof A V Narsimha Rao told reporters today.
The decision to implement GST (to be rolled out from July 1), is a significant leap towards tax reforms in India, they said.
Around 300 delegates from academics, legal and accounting professionals, industry and trade people, officials and machinery from the GST implementation side will take part which is going to be a knowledge sharing event having cross section people, they said.
The seminar provides guidance on the IT infrastructure design needed by corporate to cope with the robust end-to-end IT system platform set to make the implementation of GST simpler and easier to implement.
