ICICI Bank launches travel card for overseas-bound students

ICICI Bank has launched a travel card aimed at students heading out for higher studies outside India to help them manage their international expenses.
The card can be reloaded in the country and using it students can withdraw money from ATMs across the globe in local currency, the top private lender said in a statement.
"ICICI Bank Student Travel Card' offers a convenient, safe and hassle-free way to both students and their parents to manage education related expenses abroad," it said.
Additionally, the card users get benefits of free comprehensive travel insurance, lost card liability insurance and a replacement which can be activated easily.
The travel card is available in five currencies - the American, Australian and Canadian dollars, the Euro and the Pound, and has a validity of three years. Anyone, including non-customers of the bank, can apply for the card, the statement added.
