Icy winds resurface in Rajasthan, 1 found dead

One person was found dead as cold conditions further gripped Rajasthan with night temperature plummeting and icy winds swept the region disrupting normal life.
A homeless 50-year-old man was found dead near Rajasthan Golden Company in Subhash Nagar area yesterday, police said.
Due to fog and mist in neighbouring states of Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, departure of Ajmer- Jabalpur Express train was rescheduled, while eleven other trains were running late about ten hours, a NWR spokesperson said.
Hill station Mount Abu was the coldest place in the region with a low of 0.6 degree Celsius.
Jaipur today remained engulfed in mist and last night temperature dipped to 6 degree Celsius, about 7 degrees less than yesterday.
Meanwhile, Sriganganagar recorded a minimum temperature of 2 degrees C, followed by Churu 3.2 deg C, Pilani 3.8 deg C, Jaisalmer 5.2 deg C, Jaipur 6 deg C, Barmer 8.3 deg C, Chittorgarh 8.8 deg C, Udaipur 9 deg C, and Jodhpur 9.7 deg C.
Night temperature would further fall in next 24 hours, a MeT report said.
