Mizoram-Tripura-Bangladesh border Mamit district DC Vanlalngaihsaka told PTI over phone that the officials conducting the verification had already reached the Kaskau camp last evening.
Vanlalngaihsaka expressed the hope that the identification process would go smoothly to ensure that the actual repatriation would commence from next monday.
The state government planned to repatriate over 20,700 people belonging to 3,455 families this time around.
Mamit district would host 2,594 Bru families while 628 and 233 families would be resettled in Mizoram-Assam border Kolasib district and South Mizoram's Lunglei district respectively.
