The one-week movie gala, to begin here on December 12, has a special 'Chinese Film Package' to showcase movies from that country.
"ATA", "The Continent", "The Golden Era", "Nezha", "Uncle Victory" and "Red Amnesia" are the movies to be screened in this category, according to Kerala Chalachitra Academy, the event organiser.
A suspense thriller helmed by Chakme Rinpoche,"ATA" is the story of spiritualism and vision to see beyond the visible, technically set with the usage of an exquisitely minimalist sound track suggesting the sensational world of the blind.
While "The Golden Era" by famous director Ann Hui revolves around the story of the short lived 'republican era' in China, Li Xiaofeng's 'Nezha' is inspired by the life of the legendary character of the same name.
Wang Xiaoshuai's "Red Amnesia" tells the story of a widow who confronts a situation where she cannot differentiate it as reality or just a delusion and 'Uncle Victory' by Zhang Meng is about a man who returns from 10 years imprisonment and cannot recognise the new world which he witnesses, academy sources said.
