IGNOU to hold all women job fair on Nov 24

Aiming to provide an opportunity exclusively to its female students, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is organising an all-women job fair.
"The job fair will be organised on November 24 and is open to female students registered with regional centres in Delhi and NCR and adjoining regional centres namely Aligarh, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jaipur and Karnal," Manoj Kulshreshtha, Director of IGNOU's Campus Placement Cell (CPC) said.
"Various companies from different sectors will participate and offer salary packages of Rs 12,000 to Rs 40,000 per month for varied positions," he said.
Those who have confirmed their participation so far include Yatra.Com, Policy Bazaar, ATS services, Career Fox Pvt Limited and leadig airline companies among others, he added.

With an aim of making distance learning more lucrative, IGNOU has this year been organising a series of campus placement drives for its students.
However, a job fair exclusively for women is first-of-its kind initiative by the university.
