The Indian Head Injury Foundation (IHIF) has acquired state-of-the-art neuro-rehabilitation equipment for its modernised centres for victims of road accidents and others who suffer head and spinal injuries.
The foundation runs two neuro rehab centres in Delhi and Jodhpur. The Centre in Delhi has facilities for physio, occupational, speech and music therapy and is supported by the Delhi Commonwealth Womens Association.
The the new modernised centre in Delhi was inaugurated by Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Jodhpur, who is the founder chairman of the foundation.
On the occasion, Singh said, "Lack of awareness towards neuro rehabilitation is a serious problem in India. Many victims are unaware of benefits of neuro-rehabilitation and often suffer a life of neglect and debilitation."
The IHIF centre provides neuro-muscular rehabilitation to the weaker sections of society at a nominal cost.
