The premier B School is the only institute in the country to provide students the much sought after CEMS experience and two teams of IIM Calcutta CEMS students worked on the projects, an IIM Calcutta press release said today.
IIM Calcutta had joined CEMS, a global alliance of over 30 academic institutions from five countries, 72 corporate partners and five social partners.
ABB, a global leader in power and automation technologies, had collaborated with CEMS institutions on eight coordinated business projects in India (IIMC), Switzerland (HSG), Sweden (SSE), Germany (University of Cologne) and Australia (The University of Sydney Business School).
The IIM Calcutta CEMS students worked on two projects - Artificial Intelligence and STRATOS - and were recognised for the promising outcomes and valuable recommendations.

"The CEMS experience has created a global standard of management studies for students ... When students from various background and geographies team up to solve a company?s real business problem in a consultancy-like project, while training for process management, result orientation and team building, the experience is truly global," Professor Uttam K Sarkar, Dean (NI&ER), IIM Calcutta, said.
IIM Calcutta is a member of the CEMS alliance of 30 elite business schools of the world. It is the only management institute of the country with triple accreditations by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), AMBA (Association of MBAs) and EQUIS, the three major international accreditation bodies for business schools.
CEMS was established in 1988 with Universit? Bocconi, ESADE, HEC Paris and the University of Cologne and became a truly global organisation consisting of leading business schools, organizations and NGOs.
