IIT-Kgp study to find links between ancient and modern science

IIT-Kharagpur has taken a series of initiatives under its 'Sandhi' project which aims at building a bridge between ancient Indian scientific heritage and modern science.
Among the projects are a study on 'Bhasa' to corroborate distribution of Varna-mala, understand interconnection between Indo-European Language System.
Another study on song focuses on finding hidden features in traditional rendition and effect of Indian Classical music on the audience.
To augment the study, IIT-Kharagpur has collaborated with Sangeet Research Academy, Gyana Pravaha in Varanasi, Viswa Bharti, Shantiniketan, the HRD Ministry tweeted today.
A study on Moksha revisits India's death affirming philosophy and an indigenous healing system as opposed to the West's 'specialisation of death', the ministry said in another tweet.
Another study on 'Ankana' under Sandhi is conducted to discover historic link between Vedic Mandala, geometry and features in Buddhist Mandala and Stupa.
Another area being researched is 'Dhyan' with focus on identifying psycho-physiological effect on an individual after long and short periods of meditation.
Another study aims at highlighting Varanasi as power center of Sanatana Dharma since centuries and understanding its community and social management system.
