"It has been observed that lot many people were raising additional structures, commercial or domestic, with anticipation of being regularised under new Town and Country Planning (TCP) draft ordinance/Bill but these people are badly mistaken and the government would not relax the norms for them," Singh said while talking to reporters.
Heavy penalty would be imposed upon such defaulters and they would not be entitled for regularisation of such illegally raised structures, he added.
A week long special session of Himachal assembly would be convened to pass the new Town and Country Planning (amendment) Bill, Singh said, adding that he personally feels that a building or a structure should not go above a certain height and there were certain clauses in the lapsed ordinance which needed to be analysed and the Government now intents to bring a proper bill.
The chief minister accused the Opposition of disrupting the budget and monsoon sessions and said assembly sessions are convened to debate on important issues concerning the people.
