The First bench, comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice T S Sivgnanam before which an affidavit was filed on behalf of Sagayam took note of the affidavit filed by Sagayam while granting the additional six weeks.
"It is stated on behalf of the Court appointed Commissioner that all the materials have been received and process of writing report is commenced. Hence six more weeks is granted for submission of report. List on 15/09/2015."
Earlier the bench granted four weeks time when the matter was taken up on June 9,2015.
The HC had appointed the erstwhile District Collector of Madurai as Special officer/Legal Commissioner in November 2014 to go into the matter.

The bench while hearing a PIL by social activist 'Traffic' Ramasamy, seeking a direction to Central Vigilance Commission and Enforcement Directorate (ED) among others to consider his representation to take action against illegal mines in the state had appointed Sagayam as legal commissioner.
The state had been ruined to such an extent that granite and rare minerals were being sent to foreign countries illegally, he had submitted.
In its response, the ED informed the court that a case had been registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act against Olympus Granites Pvt. Ltd. Which had Durai Dayanidhi, son of former Union Minister M K Alagiri, as its director for a while and a leading Madurai-based granite mining and polishing unit, PRP Exports.
