During routine checking, a vehicle without number plate was intercepted at village Sotra Chak, police said adding several boxes of illegal liquor were loaded on the vehicle.
The driver identified as Madan Gopal and his associate Munish Mahajan managed to escape, they added.
A case has been registered in the matter and efforts are underway to arrest the culprits, they said.
