"After almost two months of an agitation against unabated taxations and syndicate/dealership system... ACAUT is dismayed to learn that there is a hardening of stance on the part of the underground groups, if 'demand slips' issued by the various factions is anything to go by," a statement issued by the media cell of ACAUT stated yesterday.
ACAUT maintained that Naga underground factions have kept on issuing "demand slips" to the business community.
It also said that the Joint Labour Commissioner cum Registrar of Trade Union, Kohima, had de-registered the 'Dimapur Labour Trade Union (DLTU)' and requested people to inform the authorities in case members claiming to belong to that organisation were found collecting taxes.
