Illicit liquor worth over Rs 80 lakh recovered from truck

Illegal liquor worth Rs 84 lakh was recovered today from a truck, which met with an accident near Kishanganj on the Agra-Mumbai road here, police said.
The truck collided with a jeep following which two persons were injured, police said.
After the accident the truck driver fled from the spot leaving the Haryana registered vehicle on the road.
When police searched the truck it found 740 boxes of different varieties of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and 340 cases of beer.
Police said that the cost of liquor is more than Rs 84 lakh and was being smuggled to Gujarat or Maharashtra.

A case was registered in this regard and further probe is on.
