Illicit liquor worth Rs 1.50 cr seized

A huge haul of illicit liquor worth Rs 1.50 cr was today seized from two trucks on national highways in Rajasthan, the official sources here said.
About 1500 cartons of Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) valued at Rs 1 crore were seized from a truck near Kotputali in Jaipur district, the excise department sources said.
The consignment was on way from Haryana to Gujarat when the vehicle was intercepted, they said, adding driver and attender were arrested.
In another recovery, a truck loaded with 650 cartons of IMFL worth Rs 50 lakh was seized in a raid on the Chittorgarh highway, they said, adding the consignment was on way to Gujarat. Three persons including driver and attender were arrested.

The cases under excise act were lodged against the owner of the consignments and carrier, they added.
