"There may be decrease in the rainfall in Odisha from September 9," the IMD forecast said.
Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over Northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, a Low Pressure Area has been formed over North Bay of Bengal off West Bengal-Bangladesh Coast today, a bulletin released by IMD said.
The low pressure area over West Rajasthan and neighbourhood now lies as a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northwest Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Haryana and Punjab.
The weather office did not advice on the hoisting of storm warning signals but it suggested fishermen not to venture into sea.

Under the impact of two low pressure areas, the met office said gusty surface wind with speed reaching 45 to 55 kmph gusting to 65kmph may prevail along and off Odisha Coast.
Meanwhile, the authorities of the Hirakud reservoir over Mahanadi river system, opened 19 sluice gates to release water due to heavy rainfall in upper catchment of the river, officials said.
